Wellness in the alps: 2.845 m high on the ice of the Hochjoch Glacier stands a large wooden barrel - this is Europe's highest outdoor sauna.

Paul Grüner imported the sauna from Lapland. After the long truck ride from the Arctic Circle to the Italian Alps it arrived at the mountain hut Bella Vista by helicopter.

It will be difficult for any ski bar to match the experience of sweating in the wood-fired Swedish sauna, followed by sipping a glas of sparkling wine in the hot open-air pool. The magnificent sight of the alpine mountain peaks offers complete relaxation to an exhausted sporting soul.
