In winter, from December until April, close to the Bella Vista mountain hut, a group of Snow Igloos is available for sleeping. The facility includes Europe’s highest outdoor sauna and hot open-air tub which provide a unique opportunity to bath under the sky, 2,845m high up on the ice of the Hochjoch Glacier, admiring the starry sky.

Imagine yourself sleeping in an Igloo made of snow and ice. It is totally quiet. Lights inside the ice illuminate the Igloo. These make the atmosphere so exciting that you never get bored of marvelling at it until you fall into a deep, comfortable sleep in your warm down sleeping bag.

While the temperatures outside can reach -30C, the warm down sleeping bag placed on top of a sheep skin ensures total warmth and comfort. The temperature inside the Snow Igloo always stays between -3C and -6C so that you will never feel the cold. That’s a promise! The Snow Igloos are for 1 to 2 persons. 

Before your night in an Igloo, why not take time for a sauna. The showers and toilets next to the Igloo are open all the time.

When you wake up in the morning you are greeted by the incredible spectacle of the Tyrol sunrise. What a way to start your day!
